2018 FINA Diving World Series
The 2018 FINA Diving World Series, also known as the FINA/CNSG Diving World Series for sponsorship reasons, took place from 9 March to 6 May 2018. It was the tenth edition of the FINA-sanctioned invitational series, and included four events across three continents. Calendar The calendar for the 2018 series was announced by FINA in September 2017. FINA Diving World Series
The FINA Diving World Series is a diving competition series held annually since 2007. This series is held around the world (the current series includes 4 events) where the divers collect points depending on their results to determine the World Series champions. This series is reserved for only the best divers in the World and national wild cards. Most of the divers are medallists from previous Olympics, World Championships and World Cups. List of FINA Diving World Series Overall ranking Overall ranking is based on the combined results from the legs of the series. Divers earned points based on placement at each competition. For individual events, points were counted separately for each person. For synchronized events, points were combined for each country – some countries had different pairs compete at the different legs of the series. Oleh Kolodiy
Oleh Kolodiy ( uk, Олег Колодій; born 16 March 1993) is a Ukrainian diver. Career He began diving at age 12 in Mykolayiv. His coach is Larisa Afanasyeva since then. He debuted internationally in 2012 at FINA Diving Grand Prix. He is also a multiple European championships medalist: in 2013 he won bronze in 3m synchro diving with Oleksandr Gorshkovozov and in 2015 he won bronze in 1m springboard. The 2017 European Diving Championships in home Kyiv was quite successful for Oleh where he won a silver in synchro diving with Illya Kvasha and a bronze in individual 3m springboard diving. Anabelle Smith
Anabelle "Belle" Smith (born 3 February 1993) is an Australian diver. She is 2022 Commonwealth Games champion in the 3 metre synchronized springboard. She competed in the 3 m springboard synchronized event at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. She won a bronze medal in 2016, and was placed fifth in 2012. Diving Smith competes in the 3 m springboard and 10 m platform synchro events. She has a diving scholarship with the Australian Institute of Sport and is a member of Gannets Diving Club. She trains at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre. She competes with Sharleen Stratton, following the retirement of her former partner Briony Cole. Esther Qin
Esther Qin (; born 18 November 1991) is a Chinese-born Australian retired diver. Personal life Qin was born in Liuzhou, Guangxi, China to a Zhuang family. Her family moved to Australia in 2009, as her father had found a position as a chef. Diving career In China Qin started diving at the age of eleven in China and competed in several national competitions. For Australia Qin competed at the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia, won a silver medal in the 3m synchronised with Samantha Mills. She also competed in the 1 m and 3 m springboard. Chen Yiwen
Chen Yiwen (; born 15 June 1999) is a Chinese diver. Early life Born on 1999, Chen's father was from Hainan, while her mother was from Zhanjiang, Guangdong. When she was almost nine years old, she went to Guangdong for training and entered sports school in Chikan District of Zhanjiang to begin training for her diving career. In August 2008, she officially entered the Zhongshan diving team. Soon after entering the Zhongshan team, Chen was selected into the Guangdong Provincial Sports School. Ren Xi ( zh, t=任茜, p=Rèn Qiàn; born 20 February 2001), known internationally as Ren Qian, is a Chinese diver. She won a silver medal in the women's 10 m platform at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, and then followed it with a gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, becoming the youngest champion to top the podium (aged 15). Zhang Jiaqi ( born 28 May 2004) is a Chinese Diving (sport), diver. She won the gold medals of Women's 10m Platform and Women's 10m Synchronised Platform in 2018 FINA Diving World Cup. Sports career In 2008, Zhang was sent by her mother to a gymnastics club in Dongcheng District, Beijing, Dongcheng District of Beijing for gymnastics training. But after practicing for a period of time, she was retired by the coach as she was deemed not fit to do gymnastics. Jennifer Abel
Jennifer Abel (born August 23, 1991) is a Canadian former diver. She is currently partnered with Mélissa Citrini-Beaulieu for synchronized diving. She won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 3 m synchro diving event with Émilie Heymans and a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the same event with Melissa Citrini-Beaulieu. Wang Han (; born 24 January 1991) is a retired Chinese diver who specialises in the 1 meter and 3 meter springboard events. Shi Tingmao (; born 31 August 1991) is a Chinese diver representing Chongqing diving team. She has been dominant in the 3 metre springboard events in the 2010s. Daniel Goodfellow
Daniel Goodfellow (born 19 October 1996) is a British diver, two-time Commonwealth champion and Olympic bronze medalist. He first represented Great Britain as a senior at the 2013 European Diving Championships in the 10 m platform event and the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in the same event. Goodfellow won a bronze medal in the Men's 10m Synchronised Platform event with his diving partner Tom Daley at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
