The 2018 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship was the seventh CEV Moto3 season and the fifth under the FIM banner. Circuito De Jerez
Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto (formerly known as Circuit of Jerez and Circuito Permanente de Jerez), is a racing circuit located close to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, south of Seville and deep within the sherry-producing region in the south of Spain. The project was led by the Spanish engineer Manuel Medina Lara, based on a preliminary idea from Alessandro Rocci. Circuit history The circuit opened on 8 December 1985. During 1986 the circuit hosted the first international motorcycle event in Spain in March and the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix in April. Daniel Holgado Miralles (born 27 April 2005) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer who currently competes for Red Bull KTM Ajo in the Moto3 World Championship. He previously competed in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship in 2021 with the Aspar Junior Team, where he won the championship. Career Junior career Holgado won the 2021 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship with the Aspar Junior Team with 208 points. Also in 2021, he also made his Moto3 debut at the 2021 Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix, replacing Maximilian Kofler due to a fractured vertebrae. Joshua Whatley (born 2 September 2005) is a British Grand Prix motorcycle racer competing in the Moto3 World Championship for the VisionTrack Racing Team. Xavier Artigas Lopez (born 27 May 2003) is a Spanish motorcycle racer, riding for CF Moto Prüstel in the Moto3 World Championship. Career Early career 2018 Artigas bought attention to himself in the 2018 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, where he won a race, came in second place three times, and finished third once. He finished third in the standings, behind Turkish twins Can Öncü and Deniz Öncü. 2019 Artigas moved up to the Moto3 Junior World Championship for the 2019 season, and ended with one race win, one second place, and two third place podium finishes, once again finishing third in the standings. Carlos Tatay (born 7 May 2003) is a Spanish motorcycle rider who is scheduled to compete in the 2023 FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship for the Pertamina Mandalika SAG Team.
