2018 EuroLeague Playoffs
The 2017–18 EuroLeague Playoffs were played from 17 April to 27 April 2018. Eight teams competed in the Playoffs. The winners qualified for the 2018 EuroLeague Final Four. Format In the Playoff format#Best-of-five playoff, playoffs, series are best-of-five, so the first team to win three games wins the series. A 2–2–1 format was used – the team with home-court advantage played games 1 and 2 at home while their opponents hosted games 3 and 4. Game 5 was not necessary in all four series. 2018 EuroLeague Final Four
The 2018 EuroLeague Final Four was the concluding EuroLeague Final Four tournament of the 2017–18 EuroLeague season, the 61st season of Europe's premier club basketball tournament, and the 18th season since it was organised by Euroleague Basketball. It was the 31st Final Four of the modern EuroLeague Final Four era ( 1988–present), and the 33rd time overall that the competition had concluded with a final four format. The Final Four was played at the Štark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia, on 18 and 20 May 2018. Venue On 26 October 2016 Euroleague Basketball announced that the Final Four would be held in the Štark Arena in Belgrade. It is designed as a universal hall for sports, cultural events and other programs. It was the first time the EuroLeague Final Four was hosted in Belgrade, or in the country of Serbia. Thomas Robinson (basketball)
Thomas Earl Robinson (born March 17, 1991) is an American-born naturalised Lebanese professional basketball player for Cangrejeros de Santurce of the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). A consensus All-American at the University of Kansas, Robinson was drafted fifth overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. High school career Robinson grew up in Washington, DC, and attended Eastern High School, and Riverdale Baptist before moving on to the Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Robinson averaged 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks per game his senior year. Alexey Viktorovich Shved ( Russian: Алексей Викторович Швед; born December 16, 1988) is a Russian professional basketball player who plays for Zenit Saint Petersburg of the VTB United League. Standing at , he plays at both the shooting guard and point guard positions. After helping lead CSKA Moscow to the EuroLeague final in 2012, Shved spent three years in the NBA, before returning to Europe and earning an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2018.
