2018 Dubai Tennis Championships
The 2018 Dubai Tennis Championships (also known as the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships for sponsorship reasons) was an ATP 500 event on the 2018 ATP World Tour and a WTA Premier event on the 2018 WTA Tour. Both events were held at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The women's tournament took place from 19 February until 25 February 2018, while the men's tournament took place from 26 February through 3 March 2018. ATP World Tour 500 Series
The ATP 500 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 500'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series Gold'', and ''ATP Championship Series'') are the fourth highest tier of annual men's tennis tournament after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam/major tournaments, ATP Finals, and the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, ATP 1000 events. As of 2025 ATP Tour, 2025, the series includes 16 tournaments, with 500 ranking points awarded for the events' singles champions – which accounts for the name of the series. Tournaments have various draws of 32 and 48 for singles and 16 and 24 for doubles. It is mandatory for leading players to enter at least four 500 events, including at least one after the US Open; if they play fewer than four, or fail to play in one after the US Open they get a "zero" score towards their world ranking for each one short. Malek Jaziri (; born January 20, 1984) is a Tunisian former professional tennis player. Jaziri reached his highest singles ranking on the ATP Tour of World 42 in January 2019. He primarily played on the Futures circuit and the Challenger circuit.
