2018 Croke Cup
The 2018 All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Croke Cup was the 67th staging of the Croke Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1944. The competition ran from 10 to 31 March 2018. Our Lady's Secondary School were the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Midleton CBS in the semi-final of the Harty Cup. Dublin North were the Leinster Championship winners, however, as an amalgamated team they were debarred from the provincial stage onwards. Their place in the All-Ireland series was taken by Kilkenny CBS, who qualified after beating Good Counsel College in a playoff. Adrian Mullen
Adrian Mullen (born 30 March 1999) is an Irish hurler who plays for Kilkenny Senior Championship club Ballyhale Shamrocks and at inter-county level with the Kilkenny senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right wing-forward. Playing career St. Kieran's College Mullen first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. He played in every grade of hurling before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. On 28 February 2015, he lined out in goal when St. Kieran's College defeated St Peter's College from Wexford by 1-14 to 1-06 to win the Leinster Championship. Mullen was again in goal when St. Kieran's College faced Thurles CBS in the All-Ireland final on 5 April 2015. He ended the game with a winners' medal following a 1-15 to 1-12 victory. Ferbane/Belmont GAA is a football club in the Gaelic Athletic Association located in Ferbane in County Offaly, Ireland, 13 miles from Birr. The Connacht GAA Post-Primary Schools Senior A Hurling Championship is an annual inter-schools hurling competition organised by the Connacht Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association. It is the highest inter-schools hurling competition in the province of Connacht, and has been contested every year, except on two occasions, since 1938.
