2018 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic
The 2018 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic was held in September 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was part of the 2018–19 ISU Challenger Series. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Ice Dancing
Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. According to the International Skating Union (ISU), the governing body of figure skating, an ice dance team consists of one woman and one man. Ice dance, like pair skating, has its roots in the "combined skating" developed in the 19th century by skating clubs and organizations and in recreational social skating. Haley Sales (born December 26, 1996) is a Canadian ice dancer. With her skating partner, Nikolas Wamsteeker, she is the 2020 Bavarian Open bronze medallist and 2018 Lake Placid Ice Dance International bronze medallist. The two placed 9th at the 2018 Four Continents Championships. Personal life Sales was born on December 26, 1996, in Quesnel, British Columbia. She was raised in Quesnel before moving to the Vancouver area. Skating career Early years Sales began learning to skate in 2000. Andrew Wolfe
Andrew Wolfe (born May 20, 1995) is a Canadian pair skater. With his skating partner, Camille Ruest, he is the 2019 Canadian national bronze medallist, and has represented Canada at the Four Continents and World Championships, placing eighteenth at the 2018 World Championships in Milan. Career Early career Wolfe began learning to skate in 2003. With Courtney Baay, he finished 10th in novice ice dancing at the 2011 Canadian Championships. Camille Ruest (; born November 23, 1993) is a Canadian retired competitive pair skater. With her skating partner, Andrew Wolfe, she is the 2019 Canadian national bronze medallist, and has represented Canada at the Four Continents and World Championships, placing eighteenth at the 2018 World Championships in Milan. Personal life Ruest was born on November 23, 1993, in Rimouski, Quebec. She is the daughter of Édith Lévesque and Claude Ruest. She studied at Cégep de Sorel-Tracy.
