2018 CS Ondrej Nepela Trophy
The 2018 CS Ondrej Nepela Trophy was held on September 2018 at the Ondrej Nepela Arena. It was part of the 2018–19 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Entries The International Skating Union published the list of entries on August 27, 2018. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Ice Dancing
Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. According to the International Skating Union (ISU), the governing body of figure skating, an ice dance team consists of one woman and one man. Ice dance, like pair skating, has its roots in the "combined skating" developed in the 19th century by skating clubs and organizations and in recreational social skating. Louis Thauron
Louis Thauron (born 5 August 1995) is a French ice dancer. With his former partner Adelina Galyavieva, he is the 2021 French National Champion. With Angélique Abachkina, he represented France at four World Junior Championships, finishing within the top ten at three editions (2015–2017). Personal life Louis Thauron was born on 5 August 1995 in Paris. As of 2016, he is studying engineering at INSA Lyon school. In 2019, Louis decided to enter in EM Lyon for a Master. Adelina Zulfatovna Galyavieva (russian: Аделина Зульфатовна Галявиева, born 2 October 1996) is a Russian-French ice dancer. With her former skating partner, Louis Thauron, she is the 2021 French National Champion, the 2018 Bosphorus Cup bronze medalist and made her Grand Prix debut at the 2018 Internationaux de France. Matthias Versluis (born 18 July 1994) is a Finnish figure skater. Competing in ice dancing with Juulia Turkkila, he is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo bronze medalist and a two-time Finnish national champion. As a single skater, he is the 2014 Finnish national champion and competed in the final segment at two ISU Championships.
