2018 BWF World Junior Championships
The 2018 BWF World Junior Championships (officially known as the Li-Ning BWF World Junior Championships 2018 for sponsorship reasons) was the twentieth edition of the BWF World Junior Championships. It was held in Markham, Canada at Markham Pan Am Centre from 5 to 18 November 2018. This was the second time Canada had hosted the Badminton World Junior Championships. Host city selection Canada was the only bidder for this event and the bid was approved by the Badminton World Federation in June 2017. Markham Pan Am Centre
The Markham Pan Am Centre is a multi-purpose community and aquatics centre located in the new downtown area of Markham, Ontario, Canada. The facility was designed to host the badminton, table tennis and water polo events for the 2015 Pan American Games, held in nearby Toronto in July and August, 2015. The venue also hosted the table tennis competition in the 2015 Parapan American Games. During the Pan Am and Parapan American Games the venue was known as the ''Atos Markham Pan Am / Parapan American Centre''. After the 2015 Pan Am Games, the facility continues to be used as a community and competition centre for aquatics, badminton, volleyball, basketball and table tennis for Markham-area residents. Design The 13,657 square metre (147,000 sq. foot) multipurpose centre comprises three gymnasiums for training, competition and community use as well as a 10-lane, 50-metre Olympic-size swimming pool.

Wang Chang (badminton)
Wang Chang (; born 7 May 2001) is a Chinese badminton player. He was the boys' doubles World Junior champion and two times Asian Junior champion partnering Di Zijian. Wang was part of Chinese winning team at the 2023 Sudirman Cup, and together with Liang Weikeng, they won the bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships. Wang and Liang reached a career high of world number 1 on 31st of October 2023. Ki Dong-ju (; born 12 April 2001) is a South Korean badminton player affiliated with Incheon Skymons International Airport team. He was part of South Korean team that won the silver medal in the 2018 BWF World Junior Championships. He won his first BWF World Tour title at the 2025 Orléans Masters with Kang Min-hyuk. Zhang Shuxian ( zh, 张殊贤; ''Zhāng Shūxián''; born 2 January 2000) is a Chinese badminton player. Career Early career Zhang attended Luzhou Zilu Road School. Later, she was recommended by the city sports school to enter the Sichuan badminton team training, and was transferred to the Sichuan team as an official member in 2016, and was selected for the Chinese national youth team in the same year. Wei Yaxin
Wei Yaxin (; born 18 April 2000) is a Chinese badminton player. She affiliates with the Hunan team. Career Wei started her career on the Changsha badminton team, and later joined the Hunan provincial team in 2013. Wei began the 2018 season as the finalists in the girls' singles event at the Dutch Junior Grand Prix. Wei was the champion at the 2019 Polish Open by beating Germany's Yvonne Li in 3 games. Wang Zhiyi (; born 29 April 2000) is a Chinese badminton player from Shashi, Jingzhou, in Hubei province. She was two-time Asian Champions winning the title in 2022 and 2024. She was part of China winning team in the 2020 and 2024 Uber Cup, as well at the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup. She won her first BWF World Tour Finals title in 2024.
