2018 Americas Rugby Championship
The 2018 Americas Rugby Championship was the third series of the Americas Rugby Championship (sometimes informally called the "Americas' Six Nations", a reference to Six Nations Championship, Europe's Six Nations Championship), which is the top elite tournament for the Americas nations. It was contested by Argentina XV (Argentina's secondary national team), Canada national rugby union team, Canada, United States national rugby union team, United States, Uruguay national rugby union team, Uruguay, Brazil national rugby union team, Brazil, and Chile national rugby union team, Chile. All matches were full international Test match (rugby union), test matches with caps awarded, except those involving Argentina XV. Will Magie
William Magie (born 23 February 1992) is an English-born American former rugby union player who last played fly-half for the Austin Gilgronis in Major League Rugby. He previously played for London Scottish F.C. in the RFU Championship. Early career During his school years, Magie captained the University of Leeds rugby team. Magie also led the United States national under-20 rugby union team to the IRB Junior World Rugby Trophy in 2012. Professional rugby career Magie signed his first professional contract in 2013 with the Ealing Trailfinders in the English Championship, England's second division. Felipe Contepomi
Felipe Contepomi (born 20 August 1977) is an Argentine professional rugby coach who is currently the head coach of the Argentine national side. He was a rugby union footballer who played fly-half or centre; his last club was Club Newman, in the first division of the URBA championship, before signing with professional teams in Europe. He was a key player for Argentina, having played 15 years for the national team. His twin brother Manuel was also a ''Puma''. Contepomi was inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame in November 2017. Starlight Stadium (formerly Westhills Stadium) is a 6,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Langford, British Columbia, Canada. It is used by Pacific FC of the Canadian Premier League for soccer, by Rugby Canada for various events, and by the Westshore Rebels junior Canadian football team. In an international context, its most notable usage is as the site of the Canada Women's Sevens, an event in the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series for national rugby sevens teams. Phil Mack
Phil Mack (born 18 September 1985 in Victoria, British Columbia) is a rugby union scrum-half who played for the Seattle Seawolves in Major League Rugby (MLR). He was the Seawolves head coach, winning an MLR Championship Shield in 2018. He also plays for the Canada national rugby union team. He is currently an assistant coach for the Pacific Pride rugby team. He played for Oak bay Secondary school, a historic rugby program in his home town. Phil also played for the BC Bears in Canada. Kingsley Jones (born 19 June 1970) is a Welsh rugby union coach, currently in charge of the Canadian national team. A former Welsh international player, Jones has played and coached at various levels, from playing at the amateur level to the professional level in Wales and England. BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located at the north side of False Creek, it is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo), a Crown corporation of the province.
