2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 88th staging of the All-Ireland minor hurling championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. It is the primary inter-county hurling competition for boys aged between fifteen and seventeen. The championship began on 12 May 2018 and ended on 19 August 2018. Galway GAA, Galway were the 2017 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, defending champions and successfully defended the title after a 0-21 to 0-14 win over Kilkenny GAA, Kilkenny in the final on 19 August. The 2018 championship saw the biggest change in format since the introduction of the "back-door system" for beaten provincial finalists in 1997. Jeffrey Lynskey
Jeffrey Lynskey (born 1977) is an Irish hurling Manager (Gaelic Games), manager and former player who was the current manager of the Galway GAA, Galway minor hurling team and also works as an English and history teacher in Galway Community College. Playing career College Lynskey first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Mary's College in Galway (city), Galway. Having played in every grade as a hurler, he was centre-back on the college's senior hurling team that won the Connacht Championship in 1994. Lynskey was later in the same position when the North Monastery defeated St. Mary's College by 1-10 to 1-06 in the Dr. Croke Cup, All-Ireland final. University During his studies at NUI Galway, Lynskey was a regular on the college's senior hurling team that played in the Fitzgibbon Cup. Chadwicks Wexford Park is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA stadium in Wexford, County Wexford, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is the home of Wexford GAA's Gaelic football and hurling teams.
