2018 AFF Futsal Championship
The 2018 AFF Futsal Championship will be the 15th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be held in November 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia Cambodia participate in this tournament after being absent 6 years. The last edition they played before was in 2012. Australia, Laos and Singapore did not join while Philippines withdrew after drawing. Qualified teams There was no qualification, and all entrants advanced to the final tournament. The following 11 teams from member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation entered the tournament. Venue All matches are held in Yogyakarta. The 2010 AFF Futsal Championship was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 5 to 11 April 2010. 2016 AFF Futsal Championship
The 2016 AFF Futsal Championship is the 13th edition of the tournament which been held from 23 January 2017 to 29 January 2017. It was initially planned to be held from 31 October to 6 November 2016. Following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Football Association of Thailand postponed to host the 2016 AFF Futsal Championship. Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) offered to host 2016 AFF Futsal Championship after Thailand postponed. The event was rescheduled to 9 – 15 November 2016. On 21 October 2016, AFF officially announced that the event will be cancelled due to the withdrawing from being the host of PSSI. AFF asked Singapore to be the new host but they were unable to operate the event in short time of the preparation. 2015 AFF Futsal Championship
The 2015 AFF Futsal Championship was the 12th edition of the tournament which was held in Thailand from 8 to 16 October 2015. This edition will also act as a qualification tournament for the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship. A statement in June stated that Thailand and Australia were already assured of qualification to the 2016 AFC Championship, due to their positioning in the previous (2014) edition. This was later modified back so that those who reach the semi-finals shall qualify. Singapore participated at the tournament after a 13-year absence, last participating at the inaugural edition in 2001.
