2017–18 Regional One Day Cup
The 2017–18 Regional One Day Cup was a List A cricket tournament that took place in Pakistan. The competition ran from 24 January to 11 February 2018. Peshawar were the defending champions. In round seven of the tournament, Abid Ali, batting for Islamabad, scored 209 not out against Peshawar. This was the highest List A score by a Pakistan batsman and he became the fourth batsman from Pakistan to score 200 runs or more in a List A match. Following the group stage, Karachi Whites and Peshawar advanced to the first semi-final, with Rawalpindi and Islamabad progressing to the second semi-final. In the first semi-final, Karachi Whites beat Peshawar, the defending champions, by five wickets to move to the final. In the second semi-final, Islamabad beat Rawalpindi by 13 runs to progress to the final. Karachi Whites won the tournament, beating Islamabad by five wickets in the final. Lahore cricket teams, representing the city of Lahore, have competed in Pakistan's first-class cricket tournaments from 1958–59 to 2018–19, and from 2023 to 2024. They have also competed in the national 50-over and Twenty-20 tournaments as the Lahore Lions. Khan Research Laboratory Ground
The Shoaib Akhtar Stadium, formerly known as Khan Research Laboratories Ground, is a multi-use stadium in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. At first named after Pakistan's nuclear enrichment facility Khan Research Laboratories, it was renamed Shoaib Akhtar Stadium in honour of the tearaway Pakistani fast bowler in March 2021. The stadium can accommodate 8,000 spectators. It is currently used mostly for football matches, on club level by KRL FC of the Pakistan Premier League. It was also used for first-class cricket and List A cricket matches as the home venue for the Khan Research Laboratories cricket team. Riazuddin (15 December 1958 – 11 June 2019) was a Pakistani cricket umpire. Career In an international umpiring career spanning 12 years, he officiated in 12 Test matches between 1990 and 2002 and 12 One Day Internationals between 1990 and 2000. Raza Hasan (; born 8 July 1992) is a Pakistani first-class cricketer. He bowls left-arm orthodox spin and can also bowl the doosra which turns the other way (into the right hand batsman).
