2017–18 FC Alashkert Season
The 2017–18 season was Alashkert's sixth season in the Armenian Premier League and eleventh overall. Alashkert were defending Premier League champions, having won the title the previous season. Domestically, Alashkert finished the season as Champions for the third season in a row, six-points ahead of second placed Banants, whilst they were beaten in the final of the Armenian Cup by Gandzasar Kapan on penalties. In Europe, Alashkert reached the Second qualifying round of the Champions League for the second season in a row, where they were knocked out by BATE Borisov. Season events In December 2017, Alashkert entered into partnerships with Brazilian clubs Botafogo and Fluminense. Football Club Alashkert ( hy, Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Ալաշկերտ), commonly known as Alashkert, is an Armenian football club based in the capital Yerevan, founded in 1990 in Martuni and after folding in 2000 re-founded in 2011. They currently play in the Armenian Premier League. The home stadium of the team is the Alashkert Stadium in Yerevan. The club headquarters are located on Saryan street 25, Yerevan. Although based in Yerevan they are in fact named after the historic Western Armenian town of Alashkert, now Eleşkirt in Eastern Turkey. The club is owned by Bagrat Navoyan, a businessman and founder of Bagratour LLC. Alashkert has a cooperation agreement with the Brazilian club Botafogo since August 2017. Karen Muradyan ( hy, Կարեն Մուրադյան, born 1 November 1992 in Gyumri) is an Armenian Association football, football player who plays as a midfielder for the Armenian Premier League club FC Ararat-Armenia. Career Club Karen Muradyan was born in Gyumri. At one year of age, he and his parents moved to Russia. Karen started watching football on TV. He liked the sport more and more and wanted to become a football player when he was 7 years old. Two years later, he went to the first football school of CYSS Mytischi. Football Club Ararat Yerevan ( hy, Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Արարատ Երևան), commonly known as Ararat Yerevan, is an Armenian football club based in Yerevan that plays in the Armenian Premier League. Omladinski fudbalski klub Grbalj (, ) is a Montenegrin football club based in the small town of Radanovići, municipality of Kotor. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League.
