The 2017–18 season of the Bermudian Premier Division (also known as the ''Digicel Premier Division'' for sponsorship reasons) is the 55th season of top-tier association football, football in Bermuda. It started on September 23, 2017, and ended on April 5, 2018, with PHC Zebras being crowned champions. Bermudian Premier Division
The Bermudian Premier Division (officially the Digicel Premier Division for sponsorship reasons) is the highest level of professional Association football, football in Bermuda. Clubs compete for the national title and a spot in the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield. The Bermudian clubs who participated in CONCACAF Champions' Cup (the predecessor to the CONCACAF Champions League), qualified in the North American Football Union, North American zone. The bottom two clubs at the end of each season are relegated to the Bermuda First Division, First Division. Somerset Cricket Club Trojans is a Bermudian football club based in Somerset that competes in the Bermudian Premier Division. History Trojans were formed in 1964 after a merger between ''West End Rovers'' and 2nd division ''Somerset Colts''. Rovers were founded as ''West End SC'' in the 1930s. They are Bermuda's most successful team, winning the league a record 10 times. History The club, also named ''North Village Community Club'', has won the Bermudian league title eight times. Devonshire Cougars, also known as Devinshire Recreation Club Inc, is a professional football club based in Devonshire, Bermuda and are in the Bermudian Premier Division league. Team colours are green and yellow. History The club has won the Bermudian league title 4 times, in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2013. They won their most recent title in March 2013 when Somerset Eagles beat Cougars' final challengers North Village Rams to pull them out of the title race. In the 2009–10 season, Devonshire Cougars won their first FA Cup after defeating the Somerset Eagles. On 4 July 2012 they lost Bermudian international Tumaini Steede in a bike accident, with coach Dennis Brown citing the 2012/13 season would be dedicated to Steede. The Pembroke Hamilton Club Zebras is a Football in Bermuda, Bermudian professional association football, football club based in Hamilton, Bermuda, Hamilton that participates in the Bermudian Premier Division. They play their home games on PHC Field at "Stadium Lane", which was reopened in 2015 after 17 years. It was named Warwick Stadium when it hosted its first match in the Bermuda Football Union.
