The 2017 Toronto FC II season was the third season in the club's history. In 2016 the team finished 12th in the Eastern Conference and missed the playoffs. Roster Players ''As of October 15, 2017.'' The squad of Toronto FC II will be composed of an unrestricted number of first-team players on loan to the reserve team, players signed to TFC II, and TFC Academy players. Academy players who appear in matches with TFC II will retain their college eligibility. Toronto FC II is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Toronto, Ontario, who play in MLS Next Pro, a third tier league of the United States soccer league system. It is the reserve team and minor league affiliate of Toronto FC as well as in partnership with Toronto FC Academy. History Pre-history Upon their entrance into Major League Soccer, Toronto FC fielded their reserves in the MLS Reserve League from 2007 to 2013. In 2014, Toronto FC entered into a one-year partnership with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL to serve as their affiliate, with whom they would loan players to. The Michigan Wolverines men's soccer team is the intercollegiate soccer program representing the University of Michigan. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). History Soccer became a varsity sport at the University of Michigan in 2000. Julian Fletcher Dunn-Johnson (born July 11, 2000) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for HamKam in the Eliteserien. Club career Toronto FC II On June 29, 2017, Dunn joined USL club Toronto FC II on loan. He made his debut in a 4–3 defeat to the Harrisburg City Islanders on July 1. Antonio Rocco Romeo (born March 25, 2000) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for Vancouver FC. Noble Okello Ayo (born July 20, 2000) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder. Early life Okello began playing soccer at age six with the North York Hearts SC.
