The 2017 season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League was the second edition of the TNPL, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in Tamil Nadu, India. Twenty20
Twenty20 (abbreviated T20) is a shortened format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the county cricket, inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of twenty over (cricket), overs. Together with First-class cricket, first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being played at the highest level, both internationally and domestically. A typical Twenty20 match lasts just over 3 hours, with each innings lasting around 90 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. Murali Vijay
Murali Vijay (born 1 April 1984) is a former Indian international cricketer. He was a right-handed opening batter and an occasional right-arm off break bowler. He has represented the Indian cricket team and played for Tamil Nadu in domestic first-class cricket. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. In 2001, Vijay started playing cricket at the college level before he was selected for the Tamil Nadu under-22 cricket team. He made his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu in 2006 and was amongst the top run-scorers in the 2006–07 Ranji Trophy, which was his maiden first-class tournament. Robin Singh (cricketer)
Rabindra Ramanarayan "Robin" Singh (born 14 September 1963) is an Indian former cricketer and cricket coach. He represented India in one Test and 136 ODIs between 1989 and 2001. An all-rounder, he was a left-handed middle-order batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. He has coached the Indian Premier League's Mumbai Indians since 2010 and the Caribbean Premier League's Barbados Tridents since 2013. He has also coached the Deccan Chargers in the IPL's inaugural year. As a player, Singh was known for his calmness and ability to perform under pressure. Subramaniam Badrinath
Subramaniam Badrinath (born 30 August 1980) is a former Indian international cricketer. He is a right-handed middle order batter and an occasional right-arm off break bowler. He had represented the Indian cricket team and was named in the 30 man provisional squad for the 2007 Cricket World Cup but did not make it to the final squad. He has played for Tamil Nadu, Vidarbha, Hyderabad and South zone in domestic cricket. He has also played for Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Karaikudi is the largest city of Sivaganga district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Tinu Yohannan (born 18 February 1979) is a former Indian cricketer. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He played first-class cricket for Kerala and was the first Kerala player to play Test and one-day cricket for India. He is the current coach of Kerala cricket team. Baba Indrajith (born 8 July 1994) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Tamil Nadu cricket team. Indrajith is a right hand batsman and legbreak bowler and an occasional wicket-keeper.
