2017 Sarawak FA Season
The 2017 season was Sarawak's 13th season in club history and 5th season in the Liga Super since being promoted in 2014. Season Summary After few seasons battle with bottom half finished, Bujang Senang finally bid farewell to the top flight after relegated. Bottom teams fate need to be decided until final day of the season. Kelantan did the great escape by winning 3–1 in Melaka thus secured 3 points to avoid relegation, meanwhilst Sarawak goalless draw with T Team saw the team down to Liga Perdana next term. Due to new rules and regulation regarding the FAM & AFC license requirement, Sarawak and Penang alongside Felda United and T-Team altogether 4 teams relegated to premier league for 2018. Which saw Negeri Sembilan and PKNP promoted to 2018 super league replacing demoted T-team and Felda united. After Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu advanced as 2017 premier league winners and runners up. Sarawak FA State Football Team ( ms, Pasukan Bola Sepak Negeri Sarawak) was a defunct football team which represented the Malaysian region (formerly state) of Sarawak from 1974 to 2020 in the Malaysian football league. It was one of the 14 Malaysian state teams of the Malaysian football structure before the Malaysian football league demanded all teams competing in the country's top two leagues to be run as or changed to professional clubs by 2021. It is also important to note that Sarawak FA is a football team that is not run as a professional football club, but rather a team that was funded and run by a Malaysian state football association that relied mostly on state government grants. Terengganu Football Club is a professional football club based in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu, Malaysia, that competes in Malaysia Super League, the first division of Malaysian football league system. Nicknamed "The Turtles", the club was founded as Terengganu Amateur Football Association on 22 November 1956, changed its name to Terengganu Football Association in 1972 and Terengganu Football Club in 2018. The club had won major trophies in Malaysian football. Domestically they had won 1 Malaysia Cup, 2 Malaysia FA Cup, 1 Malaysia Charity Shield, 2 Malaysia Premier League titles and 1 FAM League title. Demerson Bruno Costa (born 16 March 1986), simply known as Demerson, is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a centre-back. In 2011, while playing for Coritiba Foot Ball Club, Demerson won the Most Uninterrupted Winning Matches of the World award on Guinness World Records 2013 Edition. Demerson is also remembered for being part of the Associação Chapecoense de Futebol in 2016, the team that suffered the most tragic air crash in FootBall History LaMia Flight 2933. Chapecoense Crash
LaMia Flight 2933 was a charter flight of an Avro RJ85, operated by LaMia, that on 28 November 2016 crashed near Medellín, Colombia, killing 71 of the 77 people on board. The aircraft was transporting the Brazilian Chapecoense football squad and their entourage from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, to Medellín, where the team was scheduled to play at the 2016 Copa Sudamericana Finals. One of the four crew members, three of the players, and two other passengers survived with injuries. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008.
