2017 Presidents Cup
The 2017 Presidents Cup was the 12th edition of the Presidents Cup golf competition, played at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, from September 28 to October 1, 2017. Steve Stricker and Nick Price were the captains of the U.S. and the International teams, respectively. The United States were the defending champions and retained the trophy. President Trump presented U.S. Captain Steve Stricker with the trophy. He became the first incumbent U.S. president to do so. Course layout Liberty National Golf Club For this Presidents Cup only, the matches begin on what is normally the 5th hole at Liberty National. Liberty National is a country club located in Jersey City, New Jersey adjacent to Liberty State Park on the Upper New York Bay. Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2025, 24 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. Brian Eric Harman (born January 19, 1987) is an American professional golfer from Savannah, Georgia.
