2017 NWHL All-Star Game
The 2nd National Women's Hockey League, NWHL All-Star Game took place at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex on February 12, 2017 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A skills competition was held the day prior on February 11, 2017. This edition of the All-Star Game featured a "fantasy draft" format in order to determine the rosters. The team captains were Amanda Kessel from the New York Riveters, and forward Kelley Steadman, who was the MVP of the 2016 NWHL All-Star Game, from the Buffalo Beauts. Selected players Fan voting Over 20,000 votes were cast in order to select four more players to add to the All-Star Game rosters. Brittany Ott
Brittany "The Otter" Ott (born June 12, 1990) is an American professional ice hockey player. , Ott plays for the New Hampshire region team in the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association. She previously played two seasons for the Boston Blades in the Canadian Women's Hockey League and four seasons with Boston Pride of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL). Ott played college hockey for the Maine Black Bears before declaring herself into the 2013 CWHL Draft. She is the first goaltender to have won the Clarkson Cup and the Isobel Cup in a career. Blake Bolden
Blake Alexis Bolden (born March 10, 1991) is an American former ice hockey player, and scout for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). On October 11, 2015, she became the first African-American player to compete in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL; rebranded Premier Hockey League (PHF) in 2021). She won the 2015 Clarkson Cup with the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). In 2016, she won the Isobel Cup with the Boston Pride of the NWHL. Brianne McLaughlin
Brianne Lea McLaughlin (born June 20, 1987) is an American former ice hockey goaltender. During her career, she played for the United States women's national ice hockey team and the Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL). Playing career McLaughlin attended Elyria Catholic High School in Elyria, Ohio. She went on to play ice hockey for four years (2006 to 2009) at Robert Morris Colonials women's ice hockey program. McLaughlin set an NCAA record of 3,809 career saves. Overall, she stopped 3,809 of the 4,188 shots she faced, resulting in a .910 save percentage. She recorded at least 50 saves four times as a senior with the Robert Morris Colonials in 2008–09. Dana Trivigno
Dana Trivigno (born January 7, 1994) is an American women's ice hockey player with the Premier Hockey Federation and the American national team. Playing career Prior to competing with Boston College, Trivigno attended Shattuck St. Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota. She served as Boston captain in her final season with the university. She graduated as the sixth highest scorer in the university's history. In the 2015 NWHL Draft, she was selected by the New York Riveters, but chose to sign with the Connecticut Whale instead. Kelli Allison Stack (born January 13, 1988) is an American former ice hockey forward, who played for Kunlun Red Star in the Canadian Women's Hockey League. She is a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team. Stack competed for the Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey program and after completing her Olympic commitment, returned to Boston College for her senior year of 2010–11. Zoe Hickel
Zoe Hickel (born July 10, 1992) is an American ice hockey player who currently serves as assistant coach to the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey program. She most recently played with Linköping HC of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) in the 2019–20 season. Hickel played collegiate ice hockey with the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs program, a member of the NCAA Division I. Meghan Duggan
Meghan Duggan (born September 3, 1987) is an American former ice hockey forward and director of player development for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League. She played for the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2014 Winter Olympics, winning two silver medals; she was the captain of the U.S. team at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she won a gold medal. Courtney Burke (born September 2, 1994) is an American ice hockey defenseman. She was drafted fourth overall by the Buffalo Beauts during the 2015 NWHL Draft for the inaugural season of the National Women's Hockey League. Megan Bozek (born March 27, 1991) is an American ice hockey player and member of the United States national team. She most recently played with the KRS Vanke Rays of the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL) during the 2020–21 season.
