2017 Minnesota United FC Season
The 2017 Minnesota United FC season was the eighth season of Minnesota United FC's existence and their first season in Major League Soccer, the top-tier of American soccer. United played at TCF Bank Stadium and was coached by Adrian Heath, who still coaches United. Outside of MLS, Minnesota United also participated in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup, as well as various preseason competitions. This was the first year that a first-division American soccer team had played in Minnesota since the Minnesota Strikers in 1984. Between that time, the Minnesota Thunder and the NASL Minnesota United FC played in the second division. Deportivo Saprissa is a Costa Rican sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is based in San Juan de Tibás, San José, and play their home games at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá. The team's signature colours are purple (burgundy) and white. Francisco Javier Calvo Quesada (born 8 July 1992) is a Costa Rican professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Konyaspor and the Costa Rica national team. Early life After starting with Deportivo Saprissa as a youth player from 2005 to 2010, Calvo moved to the United States to study at San Jacinto College after getting a scholarship and played football at university level during that period. Justin Davis (born May 6, 1988) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Davis was born in Commerce, Michigan. He played his college career at the University of New Mexico where he played mainly as a forward, but was noted for his versatility. Davis led the MPSF in scoring while earning first team all-MPSF accolades. He also earned second team all-Far West Region honors. During his college years Davis also played for Des Moines Menace in the USL Premier Development League.
