The 2017 Lisboa Belém Open was a professional tennis tournament played on clay courts. It was the first edition of the tournament which was part of the 2017 ATP Challenger Tour. A clay court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis is played. Roberto Carballés Baena (; born 23 March 1993) is a Spanish professional tennis player. João Frederico Limpo Franco Gil (born 24 March 1985), known as Fred Gil (), was a Portuguese professional tennis player, who competed in the ITF Men's Circuit. He reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 62 in the world on 25 April 2011. Gil made some Portuguese tennis major breakthroughs during his career.
