2017 LA Galaxy II Season
The 2017 LA Galaxy II season was the club's fourth season of existence. The 2017 marks the first in LA Galaxy II club history that the team did not qualify for the USL Cup playoffs. Players The squad of LA Galaxy II is composed of an unrestricted number of first-team players on loan to the reserve team, players signed by Galaxy II, and LA Galaxy Academy players. Academy players who appear in matches with LA Galaxy II will retain their college eligibility. LA Galaxy
LA Galaxy, also known as the Los Angeles Galaxy, are an American professional soccer club based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Galaxy competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), as a member of the Western Conference. The club began play in 1996 as one of the league's 10 charter members. The Galaxy were founded in 1994 and are owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group (also owners of 50% of the Los Angeles Kings, as well as an interest in the Los Angeles Lakers). Justin Eric Vom Steeg (born April 5, 1997) is an American soccer player. Career College & Amateur Vom Steeg played college soccer at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2015. While at UC Santa Barbara, Vom Steeg played with Premier Development League side Ventura County Fusion. Professional On August 23, 2016, Vom Steeg signed for 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf. Alejandro Covarrubias (born September 17, 1991) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder.. Youth and college career Covarrubias spent his high school years playing for the LA Galaxy youth academy before attending Cerritos College to play college soccer. Miguel Aguilar (born 30 August 1993) is a Mexican professional footballer. College and amateur soccer Aguilar's high school years were at Encina Preparatory High School, where he later graduated from in 2011.
