2017 Italian Basketball Supercup
The 2017 Italian Basketball Supercup ( it, Supercoppa di pallacanestro 2017), also called Prozis Supercoppa 2017 for sponsorship reasons, was the 23rd edition of the super cup tournament, organized by the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). EA7 Emporio Armani Milano were the defending champions. EA7 Emporio Armani Milano went to win his 2nd Supercup by beating Umana Reyer Venezia 82–77 in the Finals. Jordan Theodore was named MVP of the competition. The 2017–18 Lega Basket Serie A, was the 96th season of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA), known for sponsorship reasons as the Serie A PosteMobile, which is highest-tier level professional basketball league in Italy. The regular season started on October 1, 2017, and ended on May 9, 2018, with the playoffs started on May 12 (due to some Italian clubs, Reggio Emilia, Avellino and Venezia, are qualifying for the 2018 EuroCup Playoffs and the 2018 Champions League Playoffs) and finished on June 15, 2018. As in previous years, Molten Corporation provided the official ball for all matches. Umana Reyer Venezia were the defending champions. Michael Jerome Jenkins (born September 6, 1986) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Winthrop University. College career In his four-year career at Winthrop, Jenkins played 131 games (70 starts) while averaging 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 22.6 minutes per game. Mitchell Watt (born December 14, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for Reyer Venezia of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) and the EuroCup. He played college basketball for the University at Buffalo, where he was an All-American and Mid-American Conference (MAC) player of the year.
