2017 Internationaux De France
The 2017 Internationaux de France was the 5th event of six in the 2017–18 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at Patinoire Polesud in Grenoble on November 17–19. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2017–18 Grand Prix Final. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Kévin Aymoz (; born 1 August 1997) is a French figure skater. He is the 2019-20 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, 2019–20 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, a five time ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, ISU Grand Prix medalist, and a four-time ISU Challenger Series medalist (including gold at the 2022 CS Warsaw Cup, 2022 Warsaw Cup). Jin Yang
Jin Yang (; ; born in Harbin) is a Chinese male pair skater. With former partner Peng Cheng, he is a two-time Four Continents medalist (silver in 2020, bronze in 2019), two-time Grand Prix Final silver medalist ( 2018–19, 2019–20), and the 2017 Asian Winter Games silver medalist. Kaitlyn Elizabeth Weaver (born April 12, 1989) is an American-Canadian ice dancer. ISU Judging System
The ISU Judging System or the International Judging System (IJS), occasionally referred to as the Code of Points (COP) system, is the scoring system that has been used since 2004 to judge the figure skating disciplines of single skating, men's and ladies' singles, pair skating, ice dancing, ice dance, and synchronized skating. It was designed and implemented by the International Skating Union (ISU), the ruling body of the sport. This system of scoring is used in all international competitions sanctioned by the ISU, including the Olympic Games. The ISU Judging System replaced the previous 6.0 system.
