The Worst Witch (2017 TV Series)
''The Worst Witch'' is a fantasy drama children's television series that aired on CBBC and ZDF from 11 January 2017 to 20 April 2020, with each series being later available to stream on Netflix. Based on the book series of the same name by Jill Murphy, the series follows Mildred Hubble ( Bella Ramsey and Lydia Page) and her friends Maud Spellbody (Meibh Campbell and Megan Hughes) and Enid Nightshade ( Tamara Smart), and rivals Ethel Hallow (Jenny Richardson), Drusilla Paddock (Tallulah Milligan) on their adventures and education at Cackle's Academy under caring headmistress Miss Cackle ( Clare Higgins) and strict deputy headmistress Miss Hardbroom ( Raquel Cassidy). Let's Dance (German TV Series)
''Let's Dance'' is a German dance competition television series that premiered on April 3, 2006, on RTL and filmed live in Cologne. The show is based on the British reality TV competition ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and is part of the ''Dancing with the Stars'' franchise. The format of the show consists of a celebrity paired with a professional dancer. Each couple performs predetermined dances and competes against the others for judges' points and audience votes. The couple receiving the lowest combined total of judges' points and audience votes is eliminated each week until only the champion dance pair remains. Format Celebrities dance in the programs with a professional or successful tournament dancer in several dances. At the end of each performance, each jury member gives a score between one and ten. Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar
''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' (''DSDS''; "Germany is looking for the Superstar") is a German reality talent show. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show ''Pop Idol'', of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television. The program aims to discover the best singer in the country through a series of nationwide auditions in which viewer voting determines the winner. Voting is done through phone and SMS text voting. In July 2022, RTL announced that the show would discontinue after the conclusion of the 20th season in 2023. In the first live show of the 20th season it was announced that there will be a 21st season in 2024. Wer Wird Millionär? (German Game Show)
''Wer wird Millionär?'' is a German game show based on the original British format of ''Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?''. It is shown on RTL on Mondays and Fridays at 20:15 (CET/ CEST). It is hosted by Günther Jauch. The show has been broadcast from 3 September 1999 until today. The main goal of the show is to win €1 million (previously 1 million DM) by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. If contestants get the fifth question correct, they will leave with at least €500. If they get the tenth question correct, they will leave with at least €16,000, unless they enabled the fourth 'lifeline' (added in 2007). Contestants from outside Germany are able to participate if they speak German, with contestants from Austria and Switzerland among previous participants. (''In all friendship'') is a German television soap opera that began airing in 1998 every Tuesday. The series follows the staff of the fictional Sachsenklinik hospital in the city of Leipzig. The series is produced by Degeto (a subsidiary of the German TV channel ARD) and by Saxonia Media Filmproduktion GmbH in the studios of Media City Leipzig. The first broadcast was on 26 October 1998. Since then, approximately 600 episodes have aired. Initially, the focus was on three main characters and their friendship ''Dr. Roland Heilmann'', ''Dr. Achim Kreutzer'', and ''Dr. Maia Dietz''. Nowadays, there is a growing cast of 15–20 characters which the plot follows (of the original trio, only ''Dr. Roland Heilmann'' can still be seen in the program). ''Schloss Einstein'' is a long-running, popular German television series which is designed as a teenage soap opera. It portrays the lives of teenagers in Schloss Einstein (Castle Einstein), a fictional boarding school. The intended audience is 10- to 14-year-olds. The series combines the genres of comedy, Action genre, action, drama (e.g., first love, problems with parents and schoolmates), and natural science. Scripts for the series are written by prominent television script writers. Current air times New episodes of ''Schloss Einstein'' are currently shown on Mondays at 8:10 p.m. on channel KiKA. ''Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten'' ("Good Times, Bad Times"), often abbreviated ''GZSZ'', is a long-running German television soap opera, first broadcast on RTL Television, RTL in 1992. The programme concerns the lives of a fictional neighborhood in Germany's capital city Berlin. Over the years the soap opera tends to have an overhaul of young people in their late teens and early twenties, targeting a young viewership. Based on the Australian format ''The Restless Years'', which first was successfully adapted in the Netherlands as ''Goede tijden, slechte tijden'', the German version took the scripts of the first 230 episodes, even though heavily rewritten, from the original. After the first year, ''Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten'' started using original material. The programme started off with low ratings and was panned by critics. ''Lindenstraße'' (literally "Linden Street") was a long-running German television Drama (film and television), drama series, broadcast by Das Erste. The first episode aired on 8 December 1985 and since then new episodes were broadcast weekly until 2020. Its last timeslot on Das Erste was Sundays at 18:50. The events of the Sunday episode usually take place on the Thursday before the show. This is a result of the original plan having been to show each episode on a Thursday night. Before the start of the series the programme's timeslot was switched to Sunday evening, but Thursday remained the day on which the events are normally shown as taking place, because the original concept of dramatizing the events of daily life as experienced by a group of characters on an ordinary weekday has continued unchanged. Originally, it was broadcast at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 10 p.m. on Fridays. It has been broadcast at 9:45 p.m. since 1 January 1984.It is common for German television programs to be scheduled at 15 and 45 minutes after the hour.
