The 2017 Georgia Swarm season is the 2nd season of the Georgia Swarm, a lacrosse team based in Duluth, Georgia playing in the National Lacrosse League. The team was formerly based in Saint Paul, Minnesota and was known as the Minnesota Swarm. National Lacrosse League
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the NHL and NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the National Lacrosse League Cup. The NLL has averaged between 8,900 and 10,700 spectators per game each year since 2004. Connor Sellars
Conor Joseph Sellars (born 15 January 1992) is an English football coach and former player who is the under-23 lead professional development phase coach at Hull City. Playing career Born in Leeds, Sellars, a midfielder, began his youth career at Middlesbrough and Rochdale, before playing professionally in Portugal for Fão and in Iceland for Höttur. The National Lacrosse League entry draft is an annual event where the general managers of National Lacrosse League teams choose eligible players for their rosters from US college programs and Canada's junior lacrosse system. A player is deemed eligible for the draft if he is 21 years of age, or is less than 21 years of age and has used or given up all NCAA or NAIA eligibility. Miles Thompson
Miles Thompson (born December 8, 1990) is an Iroquois professional lacrosse player who played for the University at Albany in NCAA Division I college lacrosse and plays for the Georgia Swarm in the National Lacrosse League and Chaos Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League. He shared the 2014 Tewaaraton Trophy with his brother Lyle. Early life Miles grew up in the Onondaga Nation with parents Doloris and Jerome Thompson. He was one of five children in the family, which included brothers Jeremy, Lyle, and Jerome Jr. (Haina). Miles attended LaFayette High School, outside Syracuse, New York, and was a standout in their lacrosse program. Mitchell Dye Belisle (born November 9, 1985) is an American former professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse and former player for the Georgia Swarm in the National Lacrosse League. Belisle represented the United States in the 2014 FIL World Championship and the 2011 FIL World Indoor Championship. Shayne Jackson is a Canadian professional lacrosse player playing for the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Cannons LC of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL).
