2017 FRD LMP3 Series
The 2017 FRD LMP3 Series (Chinese LMP3 Championship) was the inaugural season of the FRD LMP3 Series, the series supported by the ACO attracted some of the best teams in Asia & professional drivers from Europe, Australia and Asia making for a very competitive series. Craft-Bamboo Racing won the teams title after their driver James Winslow won the 2017 driver championship, after victory at Shanghai, Zhuhai, Zhejiang in the Disney-Pixar supported Lightning McQueen Ligier #95 JSP3. Andy Yan
Cheuk Wai "Andy" Yan (; born 21 October 1983) is a Hong Kong racing driver currently competing in the TCR Asia Series and Chinese Touring Car Championship. Racing career Yan began his career in 2011 in the Chinese Touring Car Championship, he won the championship in 2011 and 2013, he ended 2nd in 2012 and 3rd in 2014. He still races there and currently leads the 2015 standings. On 15 November 2014, Andy Yan won the CTM Macau Touring Car Cup by leading the race from start to finish. In September 2015 it was announced that he would race in the first ever TCR Asia Series round in Sepang, driving a Ford Focus ST for FRD HK Racing. Jackie Chan DC Racing, formerly known as DC Racing, is a racing team that currently competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Asian Le Mans Series. The team is co-owned by Asian Le Mans champion David Cheng and actor Jackie Chan. Andre Heimgartner (born 8 June 1995) is a New Zealand motor-racing driver who currently competes in the Repco Supercars Championship driving the No. 8 Holden Commodore ZB for Brad Jones Racing. Tse Wing Kin (謝榮鍵) (born 19 January 1979), also known as Kevin Tse, is a Hong Kong-born Macanese racing driver currently competing in the British GT Championship with Sky Tempesta Racing. Racing career Tse began his career in 2009 in the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup. He switched to the Chinese Volkswagen Scirocco Cup in 2010, finishing second in the championship standings that year. He also raced a couple of races in the GT Asia Series that season. He switched to the Macau AAMC Roadsport Series in 2011 and won the title that year. Denis Lian (traditional Chinese: ) (born 8 March 1972) is a Singaporean race car driver. Denis Lian is Singapore's most successful professional racing driver. In 2002, he was crowned Asian Formula 2000 Champion, becoming the first Singaporean to win an international motorsports title. In 2005, he went on to become the first Singaporean to compete in Europe when he raced in the Formula Palmer Audi Euro Series. In 2006, he established his own Formula V6 Asia race team to compete in the regions then premier series, finishing 5th overall as driver and team owner. Marco Bonanomi (born 12 March 1985 in Lecco) is an Italian professional racing driver. Career Formula Renault Bonanomi began his car racing career in 2001 by competing in a few rounds of the Formula Renault Eurocup and Italian Formula Renault championships with the Cram Competition team. He took part in the same series in 2002, but moved to the RP Motorsport team. Founded by former racing driver Paul Ip in 2007, KCMG has participated in a variety of championships across the world in touring car, sports car, and open-wheel racing.
