2017 European Senior Tour
The 2017 European Senior Tour was the 26th season of the European Senior Tour, the professional golf tour for men aged 50 and above operated by the PGA European Tour. Tournament results The numbers in brackets after the winners' names show the number of career wins they had on the European Senior Tour up to and including that event. This is only shown for players who are members of the tour. There were two 36-hole "stage 1" events with the leading players in these events joining a number of exempt players in the 72-hole final stage. As in 2016 there were just five qualifying places available for the 2017 season. With 18 exempt players and a minimum field of 72 for the final stage, the leading 27 players and ties from the two "stage 1" event qualified for the final stage. ... Clark Dennis
Clark Sherwood Dennis (born February 14, 1966) is an American professional golfer. He played on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour from 1990 to 2000. He had one win on the Nationwide Tour and a best finish of tied for third place on the PGA Tour. He was tied for sixth in the 1994 U.S. Open. He qualified for the 2017 European Senior Tour where he had two tournament wins and won the John Jacobs Trophy as the leader of the Order of Merit. Amateur career Dennis played college golf at the University of Arkansas and Southern Methodist University. He turned professional in 1986. Professional career Dennis played on both the PGA Tour (1990–91, 1994–95, 1998–99) and Nationwide Tour (1993, 1996–97, 2000). Barry Lane
Barry Douglas Lane (21 June 1960 – 31 December 2022) was an English professional golfer. He won five official European Tour events between 1988 and 2004. He played in the 1993 Ryder Cup and won the inaugural Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf in late 1995. After reaching 50 he had considerable success on the European Senior Tour, winning eight times between 2010 and 2019. Early life Lane was born in Hayes, Middlesex but grew up in Bracknell. He only took up golf at the age of 14 but became an assistant professional at nearby Downshire Golf Club in 1976, at the age of 16. He was an assistant at Downshire for 8 years. Professional career Lane first played on the European Tour in 1982, after three failed attempts at Q-School. Paul Broadhurst
Paul Andrew Broadhurst (born 14 August 1965) is an English professional golfer. He won six times on the European Tour and played in the 1991 Ryder Cup. Since turning 50, he has had success in senior events, winning the 2016 Senior Open Championship and the 2018 Senior PGA Championship. Career Broadhurst was the leading amateur at the 1988 Open Championship. He joined the European Tour in 1989 and picked up his first win at the Credit Lyonnais Cannes Open that year, and was the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year. John Phillip Price (born 21 October 1966) is a Welsh professional golfer who plays on the European Senior Tour.
