2017 Bulgarian Cup Final
The 2017 Bulgarian Cup final was the 77th final of the Bulgarian Cup. The final took place on 24 May 2017 at Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia. It was refereed by Nikola Popov, from Sofia. The clubs contesting the final were Ludogorets Razgrad and Botev Plovdiv. This was the second time the final was contested between these two teams. 2016–17 Bulgarian Cup
The 2016−17 Bulgarian Cup was the 35th official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. The competition began on 20 September 2016 with the first round and finished with the final on 24 May 2017. CSKA Sofia were the defending champions, but lost in the first round to Lokomotiv Sofia. Botev Plovdiv won its third cup, after winning the final against Ludogorets Razgrad. Botev, thus, qualified for the first qualifying round of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League. Wanderson Cristaldo Farias (; born 2 January 1988), simply known as Wanderson, is a professional footballer who mostly plays as a winger, but can also play as an attacking midfielder, for Oeste. Born in Brazil, he plays for the Bulgaria national team. Svetoslav Dyakov (; born 31 May 1984) is a Bulgarian professional retired footballer who played as a midfielder, and now a manager. He was the club captain of Ludogorets Razgrad and, between 2015 and 2017, was the captain of the national team as well. Cosmin Iosif Moți (born 3 December 1984) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a central defender and currently the technical director of Bulgarian First League club Ludogorets Razgrad. Moți began his career at Universitatea Craiova before moving to Dinamo București in June 2005.
