2017 Blind T20 World Cup
The 2017 Blind World T20 also known as 2017 Blind T20 World Cup was a T20I tournament which was also the second edition of the Blind T20 World Cup for blind cricketers, held in India from 30 January to 12 February. India defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets in the finals to win their second Blind T20 World Cup. Ten teams, hosts India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh, West Indies, South Africa, Nepal, Australia and New Zealand took part, playing in 48 matches. Hosting the T20 World Cup for the Blind for the second time after the inaugural edition in 2012, India were the defending champions and were the favourites to win the title. The final of this tournament was held in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangaluru between arch rivals India and Pakistan and it was a high scoring match. The New Zealand blind cricket team is the national blind cricket team of New Zealand. New Zealand blind cricket team participates in One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals. Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, Hyderabad
The Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, formerly known as Fateh Maidan, is a multi-purpose sports stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana. The stadium is primarily used for cricket and association football. The stadium was renamed in 1967 in memory of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's former Prime Minister. As of 19 August 2017, it has hosted 3 Tests and 14 ODIs. History During the eight-month siege of Golconda in 1687 the Mughal soldiers were camped on a vast open ground. After their victory, this ground was named as Fateh Maidan (Victory Square). During Asaf Jahi period, Fateh Maidan was used as Polo Grounds. Brabourne Stadium
The Brabourne Stadium is a cricket ground in Mumbai in Western India, built in the British Bombay era. It was the home ground of the Mumbai men's and women's cricket teams. It can accommodate 50,000 people for sports matches. The ground is owned by the Cricket Club of India (CCI). The North Stand of the Brabourne had housed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters and the 1983 Cricket World Cup trophy until 2006, when both were moved to the newly built ''Cricket Centre'' at the nearby Wankhede Stadium. Bandra Kurla Complex Ground is a cricket ground in Bandra, Maharashtra. The ground normally hosts charity matches and some local matches. It also is home to the Mumbai Cricket Association. Overview In 2007, Mumbai Cricket Association installed a state-of-the-art recreation centre at the ground which forms part of their world class Indoor Cricket Academy. The Club House has top class sporting facilities ranging from an air conditioned badminton hall with two courts - billiards and snookers hall, equipped with two imported billiards tables. Three pitches are for spin, three others for seam bowling while the seventh is a normal wicket. The Nahar Singh Stadium previously known as Mayur Stadium is a cricket stadium in the Indian city of Faridabad. The last official match played here was an ODI between India and England on 31 March 2006. Feroz Shah Kotla Ground
The Arun Jaitley Stadium is a cricket stadium owned and operated the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) and located on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi. It was established in 1883 as the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, and named after the nearby Kotla fort. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium is an Indian sports stadium located in the Navrangpura locality of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is sometimes referred as ''Sports Club of Gujarat Stadium''.
