2016–17 SBV Vitesse Season
During the 2016–17 season Vitesse participated in the Dutch Eredivisie and the KNVB Cup. Vitesse would win the final of the KNVB Cup against AZ on 30 April 2017. It was the club's first major honour in their 120 plus year history. SBV Vitesse Arnhem (''Stichting Betaald Voetbal Vitesse Arnhem, Eng: Professional Football Foundation Vitesse Arnhem''), widely known as Vitesse () or internationally known as Vitesse Arnhem, is a Dutch professional association football, football club located in the municipality of Arnhem. Established on 14 May 1892, they currently play in the Eerste Divisie following relegation from the 2023–24 Eredivisie. Since 1998, the club has played its home games at the GelreDome. Arnold Kruiswijk (; born 2 November 1984) is a former Dutch professional footballer who played as a left back. Club career Born in Groningen, Kruiswijk started his career at local side Groningen. Kelvin Leerdam (; born 24 June 1990) is a Surinamese professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Heracles Almelo and Suriname national team.
