Ansar Al Mawadda SC
Ansar Al Mawadda Sporting Club () is a football club based in Tabbaneh, a district in Tripoli, Lebanon, that competes in the and is primarily supported by the Druze community. Established in 1968 as Racing Hazmieh (), the club's licence was bought by Al Shabab Al Arabi Club Beirut () in 2005, before changing their name to Ansar Al Mawadda in 2019. Their first and only participation in the Lebanese Premier League was in the 2017–18 season, having won the 2016–17 Lebanese Second Division. Federation Libanaise De Football Association
The Lebanese Football Association (LFA; ; ) is the governing body of association football in Lebanon. Formed in 1933, it is a member of both FIFA and the AFC. It is also one of the founding members of the WAFF, joining in its inception in 2001. History In 1931 Khalil Hilmi, a member of Riyadi Beirut, attempted to form a federation. However, the proposal failed as Nahda opposed its formation. On 22 March 1933, representatives of thirteen football clubs gathered in the Minet El Hosn district in Beirut to form the Lebanese Football Association (LFA). Hussein Sejaan was the LFA's first president. Lebanon was one of the first nations in the Middle East to establish an administrative body for association football. Lebanese Third Division
The Lebanese Third Division () is the third division of Lebanese football, and is controlled by the Lebanese Football Association. The 23 teams are divided into four groups of six teams each (one group has 5 teams); the first two teams of each group qualify to the playoffs and the first two teams of these playoffs qualify to the Lebanese Second Division and replace the relegated teams. Al Ahly Sporting Club Nabatieh (), known as Ahly Nabatieh or simply Nabatieh, is a football club based in Nabatieh, Lebanon. It was established in 1968 and competes in the . They were first promoted to the Lebanese Premier League in 2023, and finished runners-up in the Lebanese Federation Cup the same year. They however got relegated back to the Second Division at the end of the season. Al Mabarra Club () is a football club based in Tarik Al-Matar, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Established in 1987, they won one Lebanese FA Cup in 2008. The club had promoted gradually along the different divisions, before reaching the Lebanese Premier League for the first time in 1989. Mabarra have Shia ties. The Lebanese First Division (), commonly known as the Lebanese Premier League (), is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. Established in 1934 and organized by the Lebanese Football Association (LFA), the Lebanese Premier League is one of the oldest in the Middle East, originally launched under the name Edmond Rubeiz Cup. Throughout its history, the league has experienced several interruptions due to political instability and conflict. As of the 2024–25 Lebanese Premier League, 2024–25 season, the league features 12 clubs and employs a split-season format, with a regular season followed by championship and relegation rounds. Football is the most popular sport in Lebanon. It was introduced to Lebanon in the late-19th century, becoming particularly popular among teachers and students Christian schools. The Lebanese Football Association (LFA) was formed in 1933 as one of the earliest administrative bodies for association football in the Middle East.
