FC Barcelona Bàsquet (English: FC Barcelona Basketball), commonly referred to as FC Barcelona () and colloquially known as Barça (), is a professional basketball team based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is a part of the FC Barcelona sports club, multi-sports club, and was founded on 24 August 1926, which makes it the oldest club in the Liga ACB. The team, which competes in the Liga ACB and the EuroLeague, is one of the most successful basketball teams domestically as well as internationally. Jonathan Holmes (basketball)
Jonathan Alexander Holmes (born December 9, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who plays for KK Šentjur of the Premier A Slovenian Basketball League. He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns. High school career Holmes attended Antonian College Prep in San Antonio, Texas. As a junior in 2009–10, he averaged 24.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game while leading Antonian to the TAPPS 5A state semifinals. As a senior in 2010–11, he averaged 23.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game while helping Antonian to a 16–13 mark. Álex Abrines
Alejandro "Álex" Abrines Redondo (born 1 August 1993) is a Spanish professional basketball player and the team captain for FC Barcelona of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), he plays the shooting guard and small forward positions. Abrines has won three Spanish League championships with FC Barcelona in 2014, 2021 and 2023. He was selected for the EuroLeague Rising Star Award in 2016. Born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Abrines began his career with CB Axarquía in 2010. EuroLeague
The EuroLeague is a European men's professional basketball club competition. The league is widely recognised as the top-tier and the most prestigious men's basketball league in Europe. The league consists of 20 teams, of which 16 are given long-term licences and wild cards, making the league a semi-closed league. The league was first organized by FIBA in 1958, subsequently by ULEB in 2000 and then solely by Euroleague Basketball. Cheikh Moussa Diagné Ly (born March 6, 1994) is a Senegalese professional basketball player for Iberostar Tenerife of the Liga ACB. He is a center, but he can also play as a power forward.
