2016–17 Bermudian Premier Division
The 2016–17 season of the Bermudian Premier Division (also known as the ''Cingular Wireless Premier Division'' for sponsorship reasons) is the 54th season of top-tier football in Bermuda. It started on 25 September 2016 and will finish on 19 March 2017. Dandy Town Hornets F.C., Dandy Town Hornets are the defending champions, having won their 8th top tier title 2015–16 Bermudian Premier Division, last season. Changes from 2015–16 At the end of the 2015–16 season, Southampton Rangers and Hamilton Parish FC, Hamilton Parish were relegated after finishing 9th and 10th in the competition. They were replaced by the champions and runners-up of the 2015–16 Bermuda First Division, First Division, Somerset Eagles and Flanagan's Onions. Bermudian Premier Division
The Bermudian Premier Division (officially the Digicel Premier Division for sponsorship reasons) is the highest level of professional Association football, football in Bermuda. Clubs compete for the national title and a spot in the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield. The Bermudian clubs who participated in CONCACAF Champions' Cup (the predecessor to the CONCACAF Champions League), qualified in the North American Football Union, North American zone. The bottom two clubs at the end of each season are relegated to the Bermuda First Division, First Division. Boulevard Blazers F.C. is a football club based in Pembroke Parish, Bermuda, who currently play in the Bermudian Premier Division. History The club, also named ''Boulevard Community Club'', has won the Bermudian league title twice. Blazers were relegated from the top tier in March 2012 and only returned to the Bermudian Premier Division for the 2015/16 season after beating Somerset Eagles to claim the First Division title in March 2015. 2018 Caribbean Club Championship
The 2018 Caribbean Club Championship was the 20th edition of the Caribbean Club Championship (also known as the CFU Club Championship), the first-tier annual international club football competition in the Caribbean region, held amongst clubs whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), a sub-confederation of CONCACAF. The winners of the 2018 CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship would qualify to the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League, the second and third place teams would qualify to the 2018 CONCACAF League, while the fourth place team would play against the winners of the 2018 CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield, as long as the Shield winners fulfill the CONCACAF Regional Club Licensing criteria, in a playoff match to determine the final Caribbean spot to the 2018 CONCACAF League. Sandys Parish
Sandys Parish ( "sands") is one of the nine parishes of Bermuda. It is named for English aristocrat Sir Edwin Sandys (1561–1629), and hence there is no apostrophe in the name. It is located in the south west of the island chain, occupying the three islands of Ireland Island, Boaz Island, and the larger Somerset Island, as well as a small part of the main island of Bermuda. These islands make up the western coast of the Great Sound, the large expanse of water which dominates the geography of western Bermuda, where it is joined to Southampton parish. Like most other parishes in Bermuda, it covers 2.3 square miles (about 6.0 km2 or 1500 acres). It had a population of 6,983 in 2016. Somerset Cricket Club Trojans is a Bermudian football club based in Somerset that competes in the Bermudian Premier Division. History Trojans were formed in 1964 after a merger between ''West End Rovers'' and 2nd division ''Somerset Colts''. Rovers were founded as ''West End SC'' in the 1930s. They are Bermuda's most successful team, winning the league a record 10 times. Warwick Parish
Warwick Parish is one of the nine parishes of Bermuda. It is named after Robert Rich, 2nd Earl of Warwick (1587-1658). It is located in the central south of the island chain, occupying part of the main island to the southeast of the Great Sound, the large expanse of water which dominates the geography of western Bermuda, and also a number of islands which lie within that sound. It is joined to Southampton Parish in the southwest, and to Paget Parish in the northeast. As with most of Bermuda's parishes, it covers just over 2.3 square miles (about 6.0 km2 or 1500 acres). North Village Rams is a Bermudian professional football club based in Pembroke Parish who participate in the Bermudian Premier Division. History The club, also named ''North Village Community Club'', has won the Bermudian league title eight times.
