2016 Tour De Wallonie
The 2016 Tour de Wallonie is a five-stage men's professional road cycling race. It is the forty-third running of the Tour de Wallonie. The race started on 23 July in Charleroi and finished on 27 July in Dison. The 2016 UCI Europe Tour was the twelfth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2016 season began on 28 January 2016 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 23 October 2016 with the Chrono des Nations. French rider Nacer Bouhanni (), who scored 721 points in the 2015 UCI Europe Tour, 2015 edition, was the defending champion of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. Engis
Engis (; ) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 Engis had a total population of 5,686. The total area is 27.74 km2 which gives a population density of 205 inhabitants per km2. As of 2022, the population is estimated at approximately 6,269. The municipality consists of the following districts: Clermont-sous-Huy, Engis and Hermalle-sous-Huy. In 1829, in this village, Philippe-Charles Schmerling discovered the first Neanderthal ever, Engis 2, the damaged skull of a young child.
