2016 Speedway Grand Prix Of Germany
The 2016 German FIM Speedway Grand Prix was the eighth race of the 2016 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 10 September at the Bergring Arena in Teterow, Germany. It was the 200th Speedway Grand Prix staged. Riders The Speedway Grand Prix Commission nominated Martin Smolinski as the wild card, and Tobias Kroner and Kai Huckenbeck both as Track Reserves. It was also Chris Harris' 100th Grand Prix of his career. Results The Grand Prix was won by Jason Doyle, who beat Bartosz Zmarzlik, Greg Hancock and Niels-Kristian Iversen in the final. As a result, Doyle closed the lead on Hancock in the world championship standings to five points, with defending world champion Tai Woffinden, who was eliminated in the semi-finals, sitting eight points further back in third. Teterow () is a town of Germany, in the Rostock (district), district of Rostock, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is the geographical center of this federal state. It had a population of 8,852 in 2011. Anders Thomsen (speedway Rider)
Anders Thomsen (born 1 January 1994) is an international speedway rider from Denmark and a triple Danish champion. Speedway career Thomsen became champion of Denmark, winning the Danish Championship in 2020. He rode in the second tier of British Speedway from 2013–2016, riding for Glasgow Tigers and Peterborough Panthers. In 2020, he won a bronze medal at the 2020 Speedway of Nations and in 2021, he won the Danish title for the second time and was awarded a permanent wildcard for the 2021 Speedway Grand Prix. Krzysztof Kasprzak (; born 18 July 1984 in Leszno, Poland) is a Polish international motorcycle speedway rider, who became World Under-21 Champion in 2005 and won the silver medal during the 2014 Speedway Grand Prix. He also won five World team titles and He earned 13 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Patryk Dudek (; born 20 June 1992) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider who is a member of the Poland national speedway team, Polish national speedway team. Career Dudek's father, Sławomir Dudek, Sławomir, was a professional rider and Patryk gained his speedway licence in 2008. Jan Fredrik Tobias (Freddie) Lindgren (born 15 September 1985) is a Swedish motorcycle speedway rider. Peter Kildemand (born 1 September 1989) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark and was a member of the Danish national team. He is a two-time Speedway Grand Prix winner. Career Kildemand started riding in Britain for Workington Comets in 2010 and 2011, before signing for Coventry Bees mid-way through the 2011 season. He was a member of the Swindon Robins 2012 Elite League Championship winning team and was named "Rider of the Year" for the club at the end of the season. Antonio Lindbäck (born 5 May 1985 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Sweden, who competed in the Speedway World Championship and was a member of the Swedish team who won the Speedway World Cup in 2004 and 2015.
