Rothesay, New Brunswick
Rothesay () is a town located in Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada. It is adjacent to the City of Saint John along the Kennebecasis River. Geography Located along the lower Kennebecasis River valley, Rothesay borders the city of Saint John to the southwest, and the neighbouring town of Quispamsis to the northeast. It is served by a secondary mainline of the Canadian National Railway, though there is no longer any passenger service on the line. History The town developed first as a shipbuilding centre and later as a summer home community for Saint John's wealthy elite with the arrival of the European and North American Railway in 1853. Christopher Jeffrey (born November 19, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He currently plays the alternate on Team Scott Jones. Career Men's In his junior career, Jeffrey played in the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, finishing with a 4–8 record. Jeffrey made the provincial final in 2013 playing third for Zach Eldridge. They lost to James Grattan by one point. He won his first Tankard title in 2015 at the 2015 Pepsi Tankard as second for Jeremy Mallais and they went on to have a 2–9 record at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary. Zach Eldridge
Zach Eldridge (born May 31, 1984) is a Canadian curler from Nackawic-Millville, New Brunswick. Career Eldridge lost the final of the 2013 Molson Canadian Men's Provincial Curling Championship to James Grattan by a narrow score of 7–6. He did get to go to the 2013 Tim Hortons Brier with the team though as their alternate. There, New Brunswick they went 5–6. Eldridge didn't play in any games. He joined the Jeremy Mallais rink for the 2014–15 season and it paid off as the team won the 2015 Pepsi Tankard. Jeremy Mallais (born July 18, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He is currently the alternate on Team Scott Jones. Career Mallais finished second at the 2008 New Brunswick Tankard, losing the final to James Grattan 9–2. He also lost in the final in 2010 playing lead for Terry Odishaw and finished third in 2013 playing third for Jason Vaughan. He won his first Tankard title in 2015 at the 2015 Pepsi Tankard and went on to have a 2–9 record at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary. He joined Team Scott Jones for the 2019–20 season. They won the Atlantic Superstore Monctonian Challenge and the Steele Cup Cash on the World Curling Tour and played in the 2019 Tour Challenge Tier 2 Grand Slam of Curling event. Curl Moncton
Curl Moncton Inc. is a curling club in Moncton, New Brunswick. History Curl Moncton traces its history back to the founding of the Moncton Curling Association (MCA) in 1881, and was located on Lower Lutz Street. The club was moved to Mechanic Street in 1903, but was destroyed in a fire in 1915. The club was then rebuilt on Lutz Street. Curl Moncton itself was formed in 2011 when the Beaver Curling Club and the Curling Beauséjour merged. The MCA joined Curl Moncton in 2013, when Curl Moncton purchased its site on Lutz Street to gain access to equity. The move was controversial, as it involved evicting the Humanity Project, which had been using the facility to help house and feed the homeless population. Using the equity from the sale, the club was expanded from five sheets to ten in 2019 at the cost of $2.7 million. Jamie Korab
Jamie A. Korab, ONL (born November 28, 1979 in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland) is a Canadian curler and politician. Korab was the lead for the gold medal-winning Canadian men's team at the 2006 Winter Olympics skipped by Brad Gushue. In the 2017 Newfoundland and Labrador municipal elections, Korab was elected to St. John's City Council representing Ward 3. Career Korab played in two Canadian Junior Curling Championships and three Briers before playing at the Olympics. At the 1997 Canadian Juniors, he played as a third for Randy Turpin. At the 2000 Canadian Juniors, he joined up Gushue as his second and they went all the way to the junior finals that year, losing to British Columbia's Brad Kuhn in the final. Tom Sullivan (curler)
Thomas Sullivan (born November 23, 1977) is a Canadian curler from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Sullivan was originally from New Brunswick. As a junior curler, he skipped the New Brunswick team at the 1997 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. At the juniors, he led his team to a 7–5 round robin record, which was good enough to be in a five-way tie for third place. In order to make the playoffs, they would have to win two tiebreaker matches. They won their first game against the Yukon's Wyatt Redlin, but lost their second match against Ontario, skipped by future Olympic gold medalist John Morris. The next year, Sullivan won his one and only provincial championship, playing third for the Terry Odishaw rink. The team represented New Brunswick at the 1998 Labatt Brier, finishing the event with a 4–7 record. Sullivan later moved to Nova Scotia, and joined the Mark Dacey rink in 2009 at third. James Grattan, nicknamed "Jimmy the Kid" (born July 28, 1974 in Ottawa, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Oromocto, New Brunswick. He currently skips his own team. Career Grattan's best personal result as a skip at the Brier is third place (). In 2002–2004 he played third for Russ Howard. He skipped again in (5–6 in Regina), after defeating Dan Sherrard in the New Brunswick Tankard final, and (2–9 Winnipeg), after defeating Jeremy Mallais in the provincial final. He played third for Howard again in (6–5 Calgary). He moved back to skip the following season and the team won the provincial championship.
