Dave Steckel (American Football)
Dave Steckel is an American football coach and former player. He was recently the head coach at Missouri State University. Prior to that, he spent 14 seasons on the staff at the University of Missouri. His other coaching stops include Miami University of Ohio, Ball State University, the University of Minnesota, Dickinson College, Lehigh University, the University of Toledo, and Rutgers University. Coaching career Steckel's coaching career started shortly after his playing career ended at Kutztown in 1982. He got his start as a graduate assistant at Miami (OH). In 1984, he joined the Ball State staff as the defensive line coach. Steckel spent the 1985 season as a graduate assistant at Minnesota. From 1986 to 1987, Steckel was the associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Dickinson College. Cedar Falls is a city in Black Hawk County, Iowa, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 40,713. It is home to the University of Northern Iowa, a public university.
