The 2016 Mid-American Conference football season was the 71st season for the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and was part of the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision
The NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A, is the highest level of college football in the United States. The FBS consists of the largest schools in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). As of the 2024 season, there are 10 conferences and 134 schools in FBS. College football is one of the most popular spectator sports throughout much of the United States. The top schools generate tens of millions of dollars in yearly revenue. Taylor Moton (born August 18, 1994) is an American professional football offensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Western Michigan Broncos. He was selected by the Panthers in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft. Early life Moton attended Okemos High School in Okemos, Michigan. He played football, basketball and ran track. College career Moton played at Western Michigan from 2012 to 2016. Najee Murray (born April 21, 1994) is an American professional football defensive back for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Murray first played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2012, where he played in the first six games of the season before becoming injured.
