The 2016 BMW Malaysian Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 7th edition of the Malaysian Open and was an International tournament on the 2016 WTA Tour. The WTA International Tournaments was a category for professional tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. The winner of a WTA International adds 280 points to her WTA ranking. Zheng Saisai
Zheng Saisai or Zheng Sai-Sai (; born February 5, 1994) is a Chinese tennis player. She won one WTA singles title (at the Premier level 2019 Silicon Valley Classic), five WTA doubles titles, and reached the final of the 2019 French Open in doubles with compatriot Duan Yingying.
