''30 millions d'amis'' (English: "30 Million Friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mouse, mice, Domestic canary, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. Television program The first episode of the program, initiative of the French journalist Jean-Pierre Hutin, who was worried about the fate of pets, was broadcast on 6 January 1976 on TF1. It is one of the television programs that has the fifth-longest longevity of the French audiovisual field, after ''Des chiffres et des lettres'', ''Automoto'', ''Thalassa (TV series), Thalassa'' and ''Stade 2''. CStar () is a French free-to-air television channel, owned by Canal+. History D17 was launched on 7 October 2012, replacing Direct Star, after Canal+ bought it from Bolloré. D17 was rebranded CStar on 5 September 2016. Since 27 February 2018, a sister channel named CStar Hits France is available exclusively on Canal+ channel 180, airing only French music clips. Programs CStar's programming has a musical predominant. The channel also airs documentaries, concerts, series, dramas, movies and previously Japanese anime. C8 (French TV Channel)
C8 () was a French free-to-air television channel owned by the Bolloré group. Initially named Direct 8, it was renamed D8 after it was sold to Canal+, later C8 in 2016. A subsidiary of the Canal+ group, Vincent Bolloré was its main shareholder. History The Direct 8 project was founded on 24 July 2001, date in which the CSA launches a call for offers to interested companies having a channel in the upcoming digital terrestrial television platform, a new mode of broadcasting increasing the number of available channels. Vincent Bolloré presented the Direct 8 in front of the CSA, which received support, and he agreed for a broadcast license on 23 October 2002. Direct 8 was launched in 2005. France Info (; stylized as franceinfo:) is a French domestic rolling news channel which started broadcasting on 31 August 2016 at 6:00 p.m. on the Web. TV broadcasting began on 1 September 2016 at 8:00 p.m. on most TV operators, and on the TNT (digital terrestrial television). As for and Canal+, it began on 6 September. France Info involves France Télévisions, Radio France, France Médias Monde (with France 24) and the Institut national de l'audiovisuel (INA). It shares its name with a global news service which gathers the TV channel itself, the radio channel France Info and the website www.francetvinfo.fr. ''Danse avec les stars'' (''DALS''; ) is the French version of the British reality TV competition ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and is part of the ''Dancing with the Stars'' franchise. ''Secret Story'' is a French reality competition television show. Despite not being a direct adaptation of the ''Big Brother'' franchise's format, created by producer John de Mol Jr. in 1997, the show has a similar concept while including its own game mechanics, and is also produced and owned by ''Big Brothers production company Endemol Shine Group/Banijay. It follows a group of contestants who live together in a specially constructed house named ''La maison des secrets'' (''The House of Secrets'') that is isolated from the outside world for a cash prize. The contestants are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, contestants are evicted from the house, by being voted out of the competition by the spectators.
