2016 Ginetta GT4 Supercup
The 2016 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup is a multi-event, one make GT motor racing championship held across England and Scotland. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in Ginetta G55s that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. It forms part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. It is the sixth Ginetta GT4 Supercup, having rebranded from the Ginetta G50 Cup, which ran between 2008 and 2010. The season commenced on 2 April at Brands Hatch – on the circuit's Indy configuration – and concludes on 2 October at the same venue, utilising the Grand Prix circuit, after twenty-two races held at eight meetings, all in support of the 2016 British Touring Car Championship season. 2016 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (commonly abbreviated as BTCC) was a motor racing championship for production-based touring cars held across England and Scotland. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded amateur drivers competing in highly modified versions of family cars which are sold to the general public and conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The 2016 season was the 59th British Touring Car Championship season and the sixth season for cars conforming to the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) technical specification. Will Burns (racing Driver)
Will Burns (born 24 June 1990 in Weston-Super-Mare) is a British racing driver, currently competing in the British GT series with Century Motorsports. Racing career Early career Burns began his car racing career in 2011 running in the Ginetta Challenge. He spent three seasons in the series finishing the 2013 season as the runner-up. Near the end of the 2013 season, he joined the BTCC supporting Ginetta GT Supercup running in the secondary G50 class for seven races with Academy Motorsport. Burns moved up to the primary class in the Ginetta GT Supercup for 2014 remaining with Academy Motorsport, he completed his first full season 7th in points. The following season he moved to HHC Motorsport and finished 5th. Snetterton Circuit
Snetterton Circuit is a motor racing course in Norfolk, England, originally opened in 1953. Owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, it is situated on the A11 road north-east of the town of Thetford and south-west of the city of Norwich. Oulton Park is a hard surfaced track used for motor racing, close to the village of Little Budworth, Cheshire, England. It is about from Winsford, from Chester city centre, from Northwich and from Warrington, with a nearby rail connection along the Mid-Cheshire Line. Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038.
