Charlotte Independence
Charlotte Independence is an American soccer team based in Charlotte, North Carolina that plays in the USL League One, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid. The Independence currently play their home games at American Legion Memorial Stadium in the Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. Previously, the Independence have played at Ramblewood Soccer Complex and Sportsplex at Matthews. The teams color's are navy, blue, and parchment. The independence wear blue kits at home, and grey on the road. History The Charlotte Independence were founded in 2014. They acquired the USL Pro franchise rights for Charlotte from the Charlotte Eagles, who moved into the amateur Premier Development League (PDL). Cameron Paul Lancaster (born 5 November 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Louisville City in the USL Championship. Early life Lancaster was born in Camden and raised in Muswell Hill. He attended East Barnet School. He played for Oakhill Tigers in the Watford Friendly League as a boy. Football career Tottenham Hotspur Lancaster joined Tottenham Hotspur's Academy in the 2009–10 season. He joined League One club, Dagenham & Redbridge on loan for a month on 22 March 2011. Austin Berry (soccer)
Gregory Austin Berry (born October 6, 1988) is a retired American soccer defender from Cincinnati, Ohio. After playing for the Louisville Cardinals in college, he was a first round pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft. He signed with Chicago Fire, and was named MLS Rookie of the Year after his first season. He played another season with Chicago before he was traded to Philadelphia Union. After spending his second season with Philadelphia on loan to the South Korean club FC Anyang, Berry returned to his hometown to play for the newly formed club FC Cincinnati in the lower division United Soccer League. Sean Ugochukwu "Ugo" Okoli (born February 3, 1993) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays for Orange County SC in the USL Championship. Career Early career Born in Federal Way, Washington, Okoli was a part of the Seattle Sounders FC Academy before attending college at Wake Forest University in 2011. José María Barril Aguado (born 25 April 1992) is a Spanish football player who plays for UD San Sebastián de los Reyes in the Segunda División B. Aaron Wheeler (born May 11, 1988) is an American former professional soccer player. Career College and amateur Wheeler attended Patapsco High School in Dundalk, Maryland, who he led to the 2005 Baltimore County championship title, and played three years of college soccer at Lenoir-Rhyne University before transferring to Towson University prior to his senior year. David Estrada (born February 4, 1988) is a Mexican-American former soccer player who previously played for New Mexico United in the USL Championship. He played as either a forward, or more often for New Mexico United, as a right winger. Penn FC (formerly the Harrisburg City Islanders) was an American professional soccer team based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Founded in 2003, the team most recently played in the USL Pro, the second tier of the United States soccer league system.
