JJ Kavanagh and Sons is Ireland's largest private coach operator. It was founded in 1919 by J.J. Kavanagh with the operation of a service connecting Urlingford with Kilkenny City. The Carlow County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Luthchleas Gael Coiste Ceatharlach) or Carlow GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Carlow and the Carlow county teams. The Carlow county football team play in the Leinster Senior Football Championship and in Division 3 of the Allianz Football League for 2019. The 2015 Carlow Senior Hurling Championship was the 86th staging of the Carlow Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Carlow County Board in 1887. The championship began on 11 July 2015 and ended on 18 October 2015. St. Mullin's were the defending champions. On 18 October 2015, St. Mullin's won the championship following a 1–14 to 0–10 defeat of Mount Leinster Rangers in the final. This was their 25th championship title, their second in succession.
