2016 Baltimore Ravens
The 2016 season was the Baltimore Ravens' 21st in the National Football League (NFL) and their ninth under head coach John Harbaugh. With a week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens improved upon their 5–11 record from 2015, finishing the season 8–8. Despite the improvement, the Ravens failed to qualify for the playoffs for the second consecutive year after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day in Week 16. It was the first time the Ravens missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons since 2004–2005, and their first consecutive non-winning seasons since 1996–1999. They did, however, improve their position in the division, finishing in second place after finishing in third place for the previous three seasons. AFC North
The American Football Conference – Northern Division or AFC North is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The division was adopted after the restructuring of the 2002 NFL season, when the league realigned divisions after expanding to 32 teams. This is the only division in the NFL in which no member team has hosted a Super Bowl in their stadiums. Formation The AFC North currently has four members: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, Maryland. The Ravens compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The team plays its home games at M&T Bank Stadium and is headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland. The Baltimore Ravens were established in 1996 after Art Modell, then owner of the Cleveland Browns, announced plans in 1995 to relocate the franchise from Cleveland, Ohio to Baltimore, Maryland. As part of a settlement between the league and the city of Cleveland, Ohio, Modell was required to leave the Browns' history, team colors, and records in Cleveland for a replacement team and replacement personnel that would resume play in 1999. 2015 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team
The 2015 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Brian Kelly and played its home games at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana. They competed as an independent. The 2015 Fighting Irish squad was arguably the most explosive offense that Brian Kelly has coached at Notre Dame. During the regular season, the Irish were one of twenty-one schools in the country to average 200 or more passing yards and rushing yards per game. The Irish had fourteen plays of over 50 yards during the season, which ranked 13th in the country and was a school record. Ronnie Garrison Stanley (born March 18, 1994) is an American football offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame. Stanley was drafted by the Ravens 6th overall in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft and earned Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors in 2019. Early years Stanley attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here, he played varsity basketball and football, with his main sport being the latter. He was ranked by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit, and was rated as the 15th best offensive tackle prospect of his class. The 1999 season was the Baltimore Ravens' fourth season in the National Football League (NFL) and the first under head coach Brian Billick. Though they missed the playoffs, they played tough against top division rival Jacksonville and trounced the eventual AFC Champion Titans to help finish the season strong with an 8–8 record. Offseason New logo The Ravens were forced to switch their helmet logo for the 1999 season. Security guard Frederick Bouchat contended that he had created the Ravens’ logo—a “B” inside a winged shield—that had been used from 1996 through 1998.
