2016 ASB Classic
The 2016 Auckland Open, also known by its sponsored name ASB Classic, was a joint 2016 ATP World Tour and 2016 WTA Tour tennis tournament. Played on outdoor hard courts, it was the 31st edition of the women's event, and the 40th edition of the men's event. It took place at the ASB Tennis Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, from 4 to 9 January 2016 for the women, and from 11 to 16 January 2016 for the men. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International tournaments was a category for tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. As of 2021 these events have been reclassified as WTA 250 tournaments. The winner of a WTA 250 tournament adds 250 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, there were 20 WTA 250, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,094. Jack Sock
Jack Sock (born September 24, 1992) is an American former professional tennis doubles and a current pickleball player. He won four career singles titles and 17 doubles titles on the ATP Tour, and had career-high tennis rankings of world No. 8 in singles (on 20 November 2017) and world No. 2 in doubles (on 10 September 2018). Sock won four major doubles tennis titles: one in mixed doubles at the 2011 US Open partnering with Melanie Oudin, and three in men's doubles, first at the 2014 Wimbledon Championships partnering with Vasek Pospisil, and then in the 2018 Wimbledon Championships and 2018 US Open partnering with Mike Bryan. Finn Tearney
Finn Tearney (born 27 September 1990) is a tennis player from New Zealand. Tearney has a career high ATP singles ranking of 356 achieved on 10 October 2016 and a career high ATP doubles ranking of 402 achieved on 8 February 2016. He has won two ITF Futures singles titles and six ITF Futures doubles titles. Tearney made his ATP main draw debut at the 2015 Heineken Open, where he received a wildcard into the doubles competition, partnering Wesley Whitehouse. Ivo Karlović (; born 28 February 1979) is a Croatian former professional tennis player. His height of 211 cm (6 ft 11 in) makes him the joint-tallest ranked tennis player in history (along with Reilly Opelka). He won eight ATP Tour singles titles between 2007 and 2016. Kevin Michael Anderson (born 18 May 1986) is a South African former professional tennis player. He achieved his career-high Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking of world No. 5 on 16 July 2018. John Robert Isner (born April 26, 1985) is an American former professional tennis player. He was ranked as high as world No. 8 in singles and No. 14 in doubles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
