2016 AFC Solidarity Cup
The 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup was the inaugural and only edition of the AFC Solidarity Cup, an international association football, football tournament. It took place between 2–15 November 2016 in Malaysia. The tournament was created by the Asian Football Confederation as a replacement for the AFC Challenge Cup which was played for the last time in 2014 AFC Challenge Cup, 2014. A total of nine teams were eligible to compete in this edition of the tournament. Kuching ( , ), officially the City of Kuching, is the capital and the most populous city in the States and federal territories of Malaysia, state of Sarawak in Malaysia. Sarawak Stadium
Sarawak Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuching, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 spectators. History It was built in 1995 for the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship. The stadium also hosted the famous '' South American derby'' between Brazil and Argentina during the 1997 FIFA World Youth Championship. Mohammad Shah Razen bin Said (born 14 December 1985) is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Brunei Super League club DPMM FC II. He is the joint record goalscorer for Brunei (shared with Azwan Ali Rahman) with eight goals. Shah Razen is included in the International Federation of Football History & Statistics' all-time Brunei Men's Dream Team first eleven that was announced in August 2021. Muhammad Azwan bin Ali Rahman (born 11 January 1992) is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for and captains both Singapore Premier League club DPMM and the Brunei national team. He is the joint top-scorer (shared with Shah Razen Said) of the Brunei national team with eight goals. Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Three points for a win is a standard used in many sports leagues and group tournaments, especially in association football, in which 3 points are awarded to the team winning a match, with no points awarded to the losing team. If the game is drawn, each team receives 1 point. Many leagues and competitions originally awarded 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw, before switching to the three points for a win system.
