2016 6 Hours Of Silverstone
The 2016 6 Hours of Silverstone was a six-hour Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance Sports car racing, sports car racing event held for Le Mans Prototype and LM GTE, Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance cars at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, England on 15–17 April 2016. Silverstone served as the opening round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship, and was the fifth running of the 6 Hours of Silverstone, event as part of the championship. A total of 52,000 people attended the race weekend. Joest Racing, Audi's No. 7 car of André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler (racing driver), Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer won the pole position and maintained their advantage on the race's first lap. The 2013 6 Hours of Fuji was an automobile endurance race held at the Fuji Speedway, Oyama, Japan on 20 October 2013. The race was the sixth round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship season. Heavy rains forced race officials to start the race under safety car conditions, completing eight laps before the race was temporarily stopped due to no improvement in track conditions. Following a two-hour delay the race was restarted once more under the safety car, lapping another eight circuits before officials stopped the race again and eventually called an end to the event. Rebellion Racing was a Swiss racing team that competed in endurance racing. The team competed in the 2011 Intercontinental Le Mans Cup season and won the LMP1 teams' title in the 2011 Le Mans Series season.
