2015–16 ISU Challenger Series
The 2015–16 ISU Challenger Series was held from September to December 2015. It was the second season that the ISU Challenger Series, a group of senior-level international figure skating competitions, was held. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 figure skating season, 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four (Single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. 2015 CS Ice Challenge
The 2015 Ice Challenge was a senior international figure skating competition held in late October 2015 at the Liebenauer Eishalle in Graz, Austria. It was part of the 2015–16 ISU Challenger Series. Konstantin Menshov
Konstantin Alexandrovich Menshov (; born 23 February 1983) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 European bronze medalist, the 2015 Finlandia Trophy champion, a two-time (2010, 2012) Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, a two-time (2007, 2012) NRW Trophy champion, and the 2011 Russian national champion. Menshov is one of the skaters to have landed two quad jumps in a short program and three quad jumps in a free program. Personal life Konstantin Alexandrovich Menshov was born on 23 February 1983 in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union, along with a fraternal twin brother, Nikita. In 2011, he received his diploma from the Lesgaft University for Physiculture and Sport in Saint Petersburg. Career Menshov's first coach was Galina Kashina. He later trained under Evgeni Rukavicin in Saint Petersburg. Max Aaron
Maxwell Theodore "Max" Aaron (born February 25, 1992) is an American former figure skater. He is the 2013 U.S. national champion, the 2015 Skate America champion, the 2011 U.S. national junior champion, and a three-time U.S. International Classic champion (2012, 2013, and 2014). Aaron announced his retirement from figure skating on April 19, 2018. Personal life Maxwell Theodore Aaron was born in Scottsdale, Arizona. The second of three children born to Mindy, a nurse, and Neil, a pediatrician, he has two sisters, Madeline and Molly, both of whom have competed in pair skating. Elladj Baldé
Elladj Baldé (born November 9, 1990) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. He won the 2015 Nebelhorn Trophy, an ISU Challenger Series event. He is the 2008 Canadian Junior champion. Personal life Elladj Baldé was born November 9, 1990, in Moscow to a Russian mother and a Guinean father, Ibrahim, from the village of Tombon, near Labé. He has two younger sisters, Djoulia Baldé and Catherine Baldé, who also skated. His older sister, Djouldé, died from leukemia. After a year in Bonn, Germany during his sister's treatment, the family moved to Canada in 1992. He speaks English, French, and Russian. On March 18, 2020, he announced his engagement to Michelle Dawley, a dancer and choreographer from Calgary. Career Elladj Baldé was introduced to skating at the age of seven by his mother.
