2015 TCR International Series Season
The 2015 TCR International Series was the inaugural season of the TCR International Series, a motor racing championship for touring cars held across Asia and Europe. The season began at Sepang on 28 March and finished on 22 November at the Guia Circuit in Macau. Stefano Comini won the drivers' championship, driving a SEAT León Cup Racer, and Target Competition won the teams' championship. Teams and drivers Michelin is the official tire supplier. TCR International Series
The TCR International Series was an international Touring car racing, touring car championship. The championship was promoted by World Sporting Consulting (WSC), founded by former World Touring Car Championship manager Marcello Lotti. It was marketed as a cost-effective spin-off of the WTCC, targeted at C-segment hatchbacks production-based touring cars. The title TCR follows the naming convention now used by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA to classify the cars that compete in touring car racing, with TC1 referring to the top tier as used by the World Touring Car Championship, FIA WTCC and TC2 referring to the legacy cars which principally compete in the European Touring Car Cup, FIA ETCC. Engstler Motorsport
Engstler Motorsport is a private German auto racing team based in Wiggensbach, run by driver Franz Engstler. It has competed successfully in the Asian Touring Car Championship and the ADAC Procar Series. It is sponsored by lubricants company Liqui Moly and known officially as Liqui Moly Team Engstler. World Touring Car Championship BMW 320i (2005, 2007) The team made its World Touring Car Championship debut in the end of season 2005 Guia Race of Macau, with two BMW 320is for Hong Kong driver Paul Poon and New Zealander Peter Scharmach. Michel Nykjær
Michel Nykjær (born 17 September 1979) is a Danish auto racing driver. Nykjær is a two-time European Touring Car Cup winner. Career Early years Between 1989 and 1993 he spent his early racing years in karting. After a break, he returned to motorsport in 1998, with saloon cars in the Danish Group N Championship. He stepped up to the Danish Touring Car Championship in 2003, and was crowned champion in 2007 for SEAT Racing Team, in a SEAT Leon. Also in 2007 he won the European Touring Car Cup for the GR Asia Team. In 2008 he moved to the Poulsen Motorsport Team in a BMW for another season in the DTC. Loris Hezemans (born 26 May 1997) is a Dutch professional racing driver. Jiang Tengyi (, born January 30, 1985, in Shanghai) is a Chinese people, Chinese racing driver who drives for A1 Team China. In 1998 he took part in the Chinese KART Cup and raced to third place. In 2000, he repeated his performance in the KART Title Match (International A Grade). He bettered his performance in 2001 with second place. He also won the Macao Jinmei Challenge. Pol Rosell Costa (born 17 August 1991) is a Spanish racing driver currently competing in the SEAT León Eurocup. He previously competed in the TCR International Series.
